    Hi

I’ve been researching use or necessity of a Gimbal Tripod Head. Your name keeps cropping up in my researches, on one or two sites and an internet search for Fancier Gimbal Heads. I see you also use a Manfrotto 190XPro tripod as well as the Fancier FT9706, which strangely enough is a tripod I’ve just ordered. I say strangely because I’m looking at purchasing a Fancier FT9706 head, been watching it on eBay and the seller has converted it by replacing the standard QR plate with an Arca Swiss one – so when I found someone else that rates them both it helped me come to a decision – as to be honest I had never heard of Fancier equipment before.

  2. Hi
Just saw this, the silly system had it in the waiting to be approved comments! The gimbal head is very good particularly with heavy lenses/combos. I have used it extensively for both landscape work and surfing photography. It’s fairly robust and I am very happy with it. I’d buy another one like a shot if I could find one on eBay or anywhere else.

    Cheers, Odille
