Cape Byron lighthouse and rocks

I went off to Cape Byron to meet a friend last week, we hoped to get the lighthouse at dawn and maybe get some shots of whales swimming past.  Lighthouse was a success but the whales were too far out to sea.  We did see a pod of 20 or so dolphins and 2 had babies, but of course it was after we packed up and were walking back!

The lighthouse as the first sunrays struck it, a little after the actual sunrise (about 6am) 2 shot pano from the H2

And a closer one

And the rocks at the end of the path from the signposted ‘Most easterly point of mainland Australia’.
