Saving Byrrill Creek biodiversity area from inundation by proposed dam

The Tweed Shire Council wants to dam Byrrill Creek, just south of Murwillumbah, for a new dam.  Despite their own staff being against the idea, and the fact that in an area of 1700ml avaerage rainfall they have not even considered stormwater harvesting or mandatory rain water tanks, and the fact that only THREE individual councillers were in favour, they want to go ahead with this environmental and economic insanity.
